We are very happy to welcome Danny and Shauna Dunn to our Gorilla family. These brand-new owners will take care of residential and commercial properties at Gorilla’s newest territory in North Bay.
Q: What made you want to own a franchise, specifically a Gorilla business?
We had made the move from southern Ontario to northern Ontario and we were looking for a business that we could do together. We have experience with a franchise in the past so we knew that we wanted to invest in a franchise again. Gorilla Property Service was a great option for the variety of work, working outdoors and the opportunity to grow a successful business.
Q: Why now – what influenced you to make this decision?
We were looking for a new business after we moved to northern Ontario in the fall and the timing was perfect. We had a chance to settle into our new home and community while learning and planning for the start of our new business in the spring.
Q: In your opinion, what are the benefits of joining a franchise system?
The benefits of joining a franchise system are many but the most important is that you are joining with systems in place. You don’t have to start from scratch. The existing franchisees can offer you so much support and I can say that Gorilla Property Services has the most helpful franchisees. We have called some of them almost daily and they are always there to offer an encouraging word and key information on the best practices for doing the work.
Q: Tell us about your territory, what do you think makes it unique?
We are in North Bay, Ontario. It is a beautiful city that is known as the “Gateway to the North” here in Ontario. We have 2 beautiful lakes for all the summer and winter activities we love. The support of the community is felt as soon as you get here. Shauna was born here and then moved to southern Ontario for several years and always knew she would be back someday. We are excited to grow our business in this amazing community.
Q: What do you expect about being a business/franchise owner?
We look forward to growing and expanding our business in the community. We love the flexibility of making our own schedules. We look forward to hiring new employees and starting them on a rewarding and successful career path. And most of all, we are happy to be starting a business that will be here for many, many years to come and our kids can be as active in the business as they want. We want them to have a successful, secure business for their future and we truly feel that we chose the right one.
