    Roof Cleaning — answered

    Do you offer ongoing roof inspection?

    Yes. We offer an annual roof inspection service, often paired with cleaning visits so crews are already up there. Regular inspection catches issues early, lifting shingles, failing flashing, or moss starting to take hold, before they grow into expensive repairs.

    How can I tell algae from moss?

    Algae and moss look different up close. Algae appears as flat dark streaks, usually black and sometimes green-tinged, that run down the roof. Moss forms raised green or brown patches with visible, spongy texture. Lichen is a separate greyish, crusty patch.

    How will I know if you found roof problems?

    You won’t have to climb up to find out. Because crews are already on the roof for the soft-wash, anything they notice gets photographed and written into the report, so problems are flagged clearly rather than left for you to discover later.

    What if my flashing is damaged?

    Damaged flashing gets flagged in our report. Cleaning can usually still go ahead, since flashing repair is separate work, but we’ll let you know so it can be addressed. Flashing seals the joints where water tends to get in, so we refer you to a specialist for the fix.

    Can you clean A-frame or steep-pitch roofs?

    Steep pitches are a safety job first. Because crews cannot stand freely on the surface, the work needs fall protection, rope access, or ladders and longer setup. The upside of soft washing is that much of the chemistry can be applied without standing on the steepest sections.

    Will moss on my roof spread?

    Yes, moss spreads. It reproduces through spores, so once a patch establishes it expands across adjacent shingles and into seams and gaps. The sooner it is cleaned, the less it spreads and the less chance it has to lift shingle edges and trap moisture.

    Can you clean my roof if my driveway is being repaved?

    Yes. For Mission properties with paving underway, roof cleaning still works, it just needs scheduling around the other crew. We coordinate timing and access so our rinse runoff stays off fresh pavement and neither job gets in the other’s way.

    Do you clean apartment building roofs?

    With residents living below, an apartment roof clean is as much about communication as cleaning. We work through property management, give notice where balconies or parking are affected, control runoff, and keep the soft-wash low-pressure so daily life in the building carries on.

    Will the crew call before arriving?

    Yes, a pre-arrival call is standard when you request one. Most crews phone roughly 30 to 60 minutes before they arrive, which gives you time to secure pets, move vehicles, or unlock gates. Just ask the office to add the call to your booking notes.
