    Can you remove graffiti from heritage masonry?

    Yes, heritage masonry can be cleaned but it demands specialty technique because aggressive removal damages the original surface permanently. Old, soft masonry cannot tolerate the methods used on modern brick.

    How is severe spray-paint different from marker or sticker tags?

    Aerosol paint penetrates porous substrates deeper than markers and needs solvent-based removal. Markers usually wipe with gentle solvents. Sticker residue needs heat or specialized adhesive removers. Substrate type also matters — brick vs. glass vs. metal all need different approaches.

    Can I attempt removal myself?

    On glass or metal, sometimes — with patience and the right product. On brick, painted wood, or porous stone, DIY usually drives the paint deeper or damages the substrate. Single-incident removal on a tough surface often costs less than the materials and time of a failed DIY attempt.
